Q. Why is NMC conducting this recall?

A. We are conducting this recall to keep our customers safe and to prevent injuries.


Q. How is NMC conducting this recall?

A. We are sending technicians at no charge to repair the pool motors where those motors are installed.


Q. How can I tell if my product is affected by the recall?

A. If you purchased an EcoTech EZ™ Variable speed pool motor between 2010 and 2016, your pool motor is affected by the recall.


Q. How do I participate in the recall?

A. Call our toll-free number, 877-282-0223 from 8AM – 5PM ET  Monday through Friday, and we will schedule a visit by a technician.


Q. What is the problem with my EcoTech EZ™ Variable speed pool motor?

A. The motor may not be properly grounded and can present a shock hazard.


Q. My product appears to be okay. Can I continue to use it?

A. If your pool is open and your pool motor is currently running, leave it alone until the technician repairs it.  If the pool motor is not open and the motor is not currently running, do not turn it on until a technician is present and can repair the motor.


Q. I no longer have the receipt for the product. Can I still schedule the repair?

A. Yes. You can still schedule a repair without a receipt.


Q. Will I receive a refund for the product?

A. No. NMC will repair the product at no cost to you.


Q. Will I be able to repair the product myself?

A. No. Do not repair the product yourself. Please schedule a visit by our trained technician to repair the motor.
